Romano Honored as a Literary Lion in 2019

On March 16th, 2019 I was honored along with a group of other Northwest authors as a Literary Lion by the King County Library System Foundation. Along with sharing the stage with such notable writers as Jennifer Egan (Keynote Speaker) and Nancy Pearl (emcee); I signed lots of books, met lots of great people, and we raised nearly a half million dollars for literacy programs in King County!

Craig is an award-winning guidebook author, outdoors writer and photographer, ardent conservationist, and Northwest trails and hiking expert. He hikes, runs, paddles, and bikes and has written about these passions for more than two dozen publications, including; Seattle Met, Backpacker, Paddler, Northwest Runner, AMC Outdoors, and Northwest Travel and Life. Craig writes weekly content for Hikeoftheweek.com and is the author of more than 25 books. He is currently working on several second editions to the popular Mountaineers Books’ Day Hiking series, a new guide to Vancouver BC's Trails, and a statewide Washington Rail Trails book.
