Okay\u2014I love my wife and little boy more\u2014and I love spending time in the great outdoors with them. Now, despite the fact that we love to camp\u2014we are also admirers of warm, cozy, snuggly lodges\u2014especially this time of year! So, here are three picks for you and your loved one for a great romantic, snuggly getaway in some of Washington\u2019s prettiest locales. And as a bonus I have paired your accommodations with a hiking recommendation!<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lopezfarmcottages.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lopez Farm Cottages<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Truly unique, these gorgeous little cabins are located on a 40 acre farm not too far from Lopez Village. They\u2019re quiet, secluded and definitely romantic. Share the grounds with furry rabbits and adorable sheep. Enjoy a soak in the outdoor hot tub. The cabins are a close bike ride from the ferry terminal and they make for a perfect base camp for exploring the island by bicycle.<\/p>\n<p>Pair with a hike to nearby \u00a0Odlin County Park and Obstruction Pass&#8211;one of the finest beach walks in the San Juan Islands. Perched at an elevation of 5,000-feet, head out right from your cabin on miles of excellent cross-country ski trails or venture into the backcountry on your skis or snowshoes. Wonderful hosts and a wood-fired outdoor hot tub make this place even more memorable.<\/p>\n<p>Hiking season here is late summer through fall. So pair this stay with some great snowshoeing and cross country skiing up McCue Ridge where you&#8217;ll get some amazing views of the Chiwaukum Mountains.
