\"\"Wow! The 2015 Washington Trails Association Hike-A-Thon<\/a> is over. I hiked a total of 201.3 miles and thanks to so many of you raised a grand total of $5255 for our trails!! Yahoo! This is by far my most successful hike-a-thon campaign-and I imagine once all of the numbers are tallied-it\u2019ll be WTA\u2019s most successful Hike-A-Thon as well.<\/p>\n

I hiked some great trails and to some great places including: the High Divide, Little Divide and Aurora Divide in Olympic National Park; the Duckabush Trail in Olympic National Forest; all of the Green Mountain (Kitsap) trails, the Cascade Trail, many of Bainbridge Island\u2019s Trails; Ridley Creek-Elbow Lake-and Park Butte at Mount Baker; and the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, Mission Creek Greenway and Okanagan Mountain Provincial Park<\/a> in British Columbia.<\/p>\n

But more importantly were my more than 50 donors! Wow 50 of you donated some of your hard earned cash to help make sure our trails remain open, in good shape and there for the next generation. I want to recognize all of you for your generosity. So thank you:<\/p>\n

And speaking of Green Trails Maps<\/a>-CEO Alan Coburn pledged $5 a mile to my campaign so my 201 miles meant a $1005 donation from this wonderful company that gives so much back to the outdoor community! Thank you Green Trails Maps!<\/p>\n

And Thank you Skagit Runners<\/a>, my hometown running club that also gave a $1000 stellar donation. Many of the club members are trail runners and care deeply about protecting-expanding and maintaining our trails<\/p>\n

And special thanks to Oboz Footwear<\/a>. This company which I am an ambassador <\/a>for has been supportive of my hike-a-thons for years and once again donated two pairs of hiking shoes for me to give away as part of my fundraising. So, who among you won the shoes?<\/p>\n

One pair goes to Lynn McDougal for making the closest guess to how many miles I would hike in the month of August. I hiked 201.3 miles and she guessed 196.2 miles. Pretty darn close!!<\/p>\n

And the shoes winner in the random drawing for all donors is Laurie Jarolinek.<\/p>\n
