Normally I am barreling down a trail all sweaty and smelly!<\/div>\n
But not this time at Deception Pass State Park<\/div>\n
I was all cleaned up for the trail modeling Husky Gear for the University of Washington magazine!<\/div>\n
I was one of four UW alum writers that was chosen for these shoots. And I am deeply honored to represent the university.<\/div>\n
Proud to be a University of Washington<\/span> alum and wear the gear!<\/div>\n
I studied history (graduated cum laude) as an undergrad and and education as a grad student at the university.<\/div>\n
And it was at the UW where my trail writing career pretty much began!<\/div>\n
I wrote a column, Go Take a Hike for The UW Daily for three years.<\/div>\n
Little did I know then that it would lead to many, many, many books on trails that I have written since!<\/div>\n
